Solange's album cover is here. I'm not blown away like I was with her video for "I Decided" but it's a unique concept. She has such an interesting modelesque face I would have liked it to be a close up, but it still works. Album drops August 26; cop it.
Check out RiRi's new video for Disturbia. Chick never eases up on the promotion.
It's like a frenzied over-sexualized circus version of Thriller meets I Am Legend. Disturbing indeed. Wish I could give all the credit to RiRi, but this video has some of the best editing since Beyoncé's Deja Vu video. David LaChapelle (Christina Aguilera's Dirrty, Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For) directed this clip for RiRi.
Stylists did their shit for this shoot. The boots are not leopard print Louboutins as I suspected, but actually woven Balenciagas from the Spring/Summer 08 collection. (Watched the video on tv; so much clearer on a big screen)
Remember P!nk's video Like a Pill?
Some of the looks remind me of Chanel Iman's shoot with Italian Vogue. All this extreme make up.
I see you Grace Jones.
The foolishness that is ICE-T and wife Coco hit up some event this weekend. Surprisingly, Coco looks pretty normal. Her hubby on the other hand...
Now before you start making Cam'ron jokes, check out this look from the French fashion house Givenchy (ji-von-shi) Men's Spring 09 Collection.
Now if we can only get Coco into some Coco (Chanel, that is).
Rap-Up Magazine's summer 08 issue features cover girls Teyannah Taylor, Keri Hilson and Solange (Knowles). Their calling them the next "it" girls.
Flower child. Where's Teyannah? Chick better get on her promo grind.
And, Solo, you seem tired; Redbull?
In similar news, Keri released the video to her new single, Energy. Peep the clip.
Reminds me a little (emphasis on little) of Flashdance.
Alicia Keys' releases her fourth single off her Platinum album As I Am. Check out the video for Superwoman. Shout outs to the cameos; I see you, Mrs Smith.
Video is cool; nice message. But I was really looking for I Need You as the next single, especially since they played a little bit of it in the video for Teenage Love Affair... aahh, maybe next time...
So here's Jennifer Hudson supposed album cover. Her face is beautiful and her body looks sick (I see you , Photoshop), but this is pretty boring.
And with all the designer clothes at your disposal after covering Vogue, knowing André Leon Talley, and filming Sex in the City, you wear a $40 dress from American Apparel?! Really?
have you learned nothing... smh.
